how can 1 mistake can get you owned

I just played sbs, 1 dude named =-GOD-=, tried to sarge rush me in sbs and I got the first shot before he had towers, so im like stupid, going back and i have left 1 more shot to kill him, and he shot me twice while I was runing and killed and then tower rushed. That was such a big mistake
