Latest AMD Raedon update breaks game.

Post by TommyCD1 »

I use AMD Raedon, since it was the best I could afford when I built my computer. Anyway, I assume they just recently updated, and of course this being Windows 10 there was no user feed back and my machine was updated against my will...

Well, I noticed it immediately because my Army Men RTS game stopped working. It would tell me that
"The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library..."
And complain about the atiumdag.dll file. Well, I quickly googled it and found out that simply rolling back my driver seemed to fix the issue for now.

You can easily do this too by
  1. Press Windows+R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter
  2. In device manager, expand display driver.
  3. Right click on AMD Radeon driver and select properties.
  4. Move to driver tab and look for Rollback driver option.
If you know how to prevent AMD from updating (I don't) then you'd probably better do so.
I may not make the best maps, or be the best player, but I put a lot of time, effort, and care into my stuff. That counts for something, right? No.
