Boiled Plastic

Post by TommyCD1 »

Hello once more; it's been a while huh? While I have some many things in store for the future, I made this map fairly quickly since I can see the forums have been under a bad dry spell lately... =))

Extract to your Army Men RTS root directory.

Four player map. Like with my Temporary Walls map, this map is inspired by a similar map in Army Men II. Namely, this map closely resembles that of 'Kitchen Madness', however it has been re-imagined for Army Men RTS. This is a fairly straight forward map set in the kitchen counter world. You will start with not only Sarge, but also Shrap to help you out in this map. The areas are fairly wide, but also very simple. There are essentially two paths you can pick: directly assaulting a player, or vying for the hill. The hill in this map is rather unique, in that it is not located directly in the center of the map. Rather the center of the map is more of a connecting bridge between not only player homes, but also the resource stockpiles that serve the real meat of hills. You start with a water gun and flashlight for starting resources, and there are also some measuring cups if you aren't afraid of extending your base a little. In between players there is a spatula to fight over, and also three small electricity sources in the form of watches and batteries. The middle of the map contains a toaster and some VHS tapes, and the 'real' hill area contains the very valuable 9-volt battery. The map comes in regular style, maxrush style, and also King of the Hill style. The KOTH map does not have the 9-volt, so instead players will start with an extra 200 electricity in reserve. Also something to note, you can not fly over the bottom two gaps with Choppers. That would bit a tad bit unfair, yeah?

Special thanks to Zero, CoNica0702, and Captain Dan for helping me take screenshots!
I may not make the best maps, or be the best player, but I put a lot of time, effort, and care into my stuff. That counts for something, right? No.
