The Story Of A Farmer & His bag of grains,Chicken and a Fox!

There is this farmer who had the trouble of trasporting his belongings (i.e his bag of grains,chicken, and a fox) to the other side of the river using a boat which could carry only 1 passenger other than the farmer himself (i.e only the bag of grain,or the chicken or his pet fox at a time).And there is this problem,
* if the bag grain is left along with chicken on one side of the river, chicken will get hungry and eat the grains
* if the chicken is left along with the fox, fox will kill the chicken and eat it
So how was it possible for the farmer to transport all his things to other side of the river without losing any thing?
Any ideas ?

you should think to get the answer, its a puzzle , put things in places

Leave the fox with the grain, then take the boat back, make the fox take the grain over the river, tell the grain to make the fox go back to take the farmer over, so it won't have enough time to kill the chicken.
Problem solved.
