I agree with some parts to both sides...

In a way.. having to many people make horrible maps will not make this game any better. Especially when most of the people who play this map are on Game Ranger and most of them are stupid beyond belief. Spend 2 minutes in that place.. there is no such thing as the best maps will be played always....

What im thinking however is that no matter how long you stall this studio will come out eventually... so with that I'm thinking why not round up the best modders out there (That know how to create bad ass maps) and work together to make even better maps..

In fact we should make a sub forum (private) where they all work together...

But yeah... all these people making horrible maps.. Nah...

Open source works best when the open source is worth doing and the product is/can be popular.

RTS.. although people play it is not popular as other new games.. In fact it is not popular period..

To make this open source is letting everyone and anyone come and make horrible maps and just wasting time.. However if we let the few who actually care to make an interesting map handle it.. Then its better cause Maps will be made for the people and not for the person who makes it...

Meaning most people who make maps do it for themselves... They dont care if others will like it.. they do it to their liking...

I'm 100% sure that the first one to unlock the studio button will not give it to every-one, why? because, yes you're right, whats the point of so many players making tons of maps ? whats the point of having so many maps in your mp folder?

I think you should keep the studio editor for only those who know how to edit and make good, fun, interesting maps that will be played alot just like doubles map (which 99% of players are playing it).
