How u do that{EMC}Storm wrote:replace stuff. ex: change chewtoy to dogbowl, a 9volt battery to a Ps2, a tree to a bush. 8 train is the best map to edit since theres a lot of trees so u can replace it into anything

Re: adding to an x file
ok after uve extracted it go in game.cfg (use Notepad it's the easiest)
this is a simplified version of the file
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
//
// Pandemic Studios
//
// Code-Generated Configuration File
//
RuleSet("protect");
WorldInfo(){}
Environment(){}
DefineTeams(){
CreateTeam("Team8", 7)
{
Color(0, 0, 0);
Relations(){}
DefaultClient(0);
AvailablePlay(1);
HasStats(1);
RequireAI(1);
Side("army");
SideFixed(0);
KnockedOut(0);
Objectives(){}
StartRegion(238);
StartPoint(0.070317, 0.370075);
StartYaw(0.000000);
Personality("None");
PainCurrentCluster(0);
UniqueScriptId(0);
Storage()
{
Add("Plastic", 2000);
Add("Electricity", 800);
}
Change the yellow numbers to whatever u want and u have to do that for all 8 teams.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for changing the resources go in objects.cfg and find
CreateObject("resource.flashlight", 60)
{
MapObj()
{
HitPoints(0.000000);
Position()
{
Pos(364.000000, -27.258656, 236.000000);
Right(0.000000, 0.000000, -1.000000);
Up(0.000000, 1.000000, 0.000000);
Front(1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000);
}
Zip();
}
}
repeated about 8 times and change the words in yellow to resource.lamp and thats about it
if u have any other questions ask

Re: adding to an x file
I'm guessing you guess a spot in the map, then see if its in the right spot then repeat by doing this several times for a symmetrical item map. You gotta go back and fourth to see what the results look like.kingdavid337 wrote:?
Some items that you may want to place is a tree.
======Pattern Guide=======
Top left:.100000 .100000,
Bottom Right:.900000 .900000,
Bottom Left: .100000 .900000,
Top Right:.900000 .100000
X, axis goes first Y, axis goes 2nd..... as you can see you get a tree in all 4 corners.
To make patterns you first gotta change one by one.
CreateObject (Blah blah)
(Position: Changed part >>>> .500000 .100000 << changed part) which is
>>>.100000<<<< = Spaces in between the map and the border line.
------------------X <<<< Item
------------------l
-----------------------------
l----------------- l
------------------
Repeat changing some of the items to only A CERTAIN NUMBER in between .000000-.999999. It must be repeating the same pattern over and over again if you want a fair map.
That is how you do the item placement.
the map will start to look like this...
Key: T= Trees l& - _ = x and y axis.
TLLLTLLLT
LLTLlLLT
----T----- It will have a symmetrical pattern that is presentable.
