Most forums allow you to delete your own topic by youself, while some only allow you to delete it if you are the only person to post on it.
If you cannot delete a topic on your own you must ask a moderator to do so.

Don't mean to stall with this, but deleting the topic cannot be recovered. Your map will be gone forever unless you save a backup of it. Are you sure about this? We could simply lock the topic instead.

You should leave it as is or have someone lock it. Topics should remain for archival purposes. We mainly only delete spam or inappropriate topics.
