Step 1:extract the map ur editing

get exe.exe from http://www.mediafire.com/?5l4t7dk968ex43d

download it to the folder that contains ur amrts.exe (most likely C:\Program Files\3DO\Army Men RTS)

go to command prompt (most likely in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt or in C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe)

type in the path to the folder that contains ur exe.exe starting with cd\ instead of C:\ (most likely cd\Program Files\3DO\Army Men RTS) and press enter

then type exe.exe

this shows u the commands

to extract the map u r editing type exe.exe(the .exe) x(extract) "the path and name of the .x u r extracting"(the path and file u r extracting) "the place u r extracting it to"(the folder u r extracting it to)

example: exe.exe x mp\8ally.x mp\8ally
example: exe.exe x gb\attic.x gb\attic

the map u r editing could also have an .x-e with it(which is just an extension to the .x) to extract the .x-e of the map u r editing type exe.exe(the .exe) x(extract) "the path and name of the .x-e u r extracting"(the path and file u r extracting) "the place u r extracting it to" (the folder u r extracting it to)

example: exe.exe x bc_p\T01.x-e
example: exe.exe x story\S01.x-e

Notes:
u cant have spaces in ur commands

example 1: exe.exe x missions\mp\8ally.x missions\mp\8ally YES
example 1: exe.exe x missions\mp\8ally.x missions\mp\8 ally NO

example 1: exe.exe x missions\mp\8ally.x missions\mp\8ally YES
example 2: exe.exe x C:\Program Files\3DO\Army Men RTS\missions\mp\8ally.x missions\mp\8ally NO
