Version 3 has been released!

The third version brings to the game more intellectual AI, rebalanced hero system, thoughtful ammo system, 4 new rulesets and 6 new units! You could read more about the new features at the first post. Older versions can still be downloaded, like outdated ones, but their support has ended, so it is recommended to play the new version.

The mod has been upgraded to 3.0.1 version.

It includes only two minor updates:
  • Blintz voice sounds have been changed from stereo to mono, like another units have.

I like the advanced mod 50 percent, but the other 50 percent I don't like because they have changed the interface and the keyboard keys as well as changing some units. All these changes have made the mod a bit annoying for the person who likes to modify and decorate the game to their liking. I'm talking about version 3.0.1. Personally, I like the previous version(2.5.1) better because it stays true to these demands. If they developed a version with only the scripts and the new units it would be much better.

The mod has been upgraded to version 3.1.0.

Changelog:
  • Added a new map — 8walls, which includes three rulesets: Protect HQ, Gluttony and Regicide.
  • Flag cost has decreased from 200 to 100 plastic; its construction time has decreased from 15 to 10 seconds.
  • Jerry Cans cost has increased from 75 to 100 plastic; their construction time has increased from 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Drums cost has increased from 150 to 200 plastic.
  • Flag Capturer cost has decreased from 250 to 150 plastic.

Changelog:
  • Rebalanced starting heroes set up. Now Sarge gets Hoover as his comrade in place of Thick, who instead works with Bullseye in a pair.
  • Added unused Dumptruck voice sounds.

been playing v3.1.1 (steam version) after tommy made me realize the there should only be the original ai personas in the folder! so far, everything has worked fine, though on 'a4atic' it functions for about 10 minutes before crashing and giving me this stackdump. seems to happen right af6er i perfrom an action like mass selecting troops with mouse1 or upgrading the barracks or garage after the time has passed (making a new copy of the game without all the other mods i had didn't seem to fix it either)
the steam version my also just suck, i don't know...

alexdsuper‎, how many times have you tried to complete a4attic map? Unfortunately, sometimes the game may crash due to unknown reasons on some maps, and a4attic could be one of those maps.

over 15 times already, happens every time

edit: tried it a few times again later today and it still happens specifically after 10 minutes passes

Looks like that the mod is not compatible with steam version of the game.

Thank you for the report!

If you still would like to pass the map, I suggest you to download portable version of the game and install Advanced mod over it.

However, there are still could be crashes due to unknown reason. I have played a4attic over 10 times, and only 2 times there was a crash, as far I can remember. The same problem occurs on 8cars map. I will try to investigate the problem, and fix it in future versions of the mod.

alright, ay thanks! i'll try to portable version then

edit: well, for some reason it still happens... could the problem have anything to do with the fact that i have to remove dbghelp.dll inorder to even open the game? it could also be something that's only related to something screwd up with my laptop that thus dosen't effect everyone elese, taken how no one else seems to have brought up the map crashing everysingle time until now. i haven old pavilion PC, though i'm not curently home and didn't take it with me like i use to since it's realy slow at this point, though i can check if the map functions on that when i get to it, with how it actually has Direct X8
