Re: how to find position in map
quote from ranger i think
I'm guessing you guess a spot in the map, then see if its in the right spot then repeat by doing this several times for a symmetrical item map. You gotta go back and fourth to see what the results look like.
Some items that you may want to place is a tree.
======Pattern Guide=======
Top left:.100000 .100000,
Bottom Right:.900000 .900000,
Bottom Left: .100000 .900000,
Top Right:.900000 .100000
X, axis goes first Y, axis goes 2nd..... as you can see you get a tree in all 4 corners.
To make patterns you first gotta change one by one.
CreateObject (Blah blah)
(Position: Changed part >>>> .500000 .100000 << changed part) which is
>>>.100000<<<< = Spaces in between the map and the border line.
------------------X <<<< Item
------------------l
-----------------------------
l----------------- l
------------------
Repeat changing some of the items to only A CERTAIN NUMBER in between .000000-.999999. It must be repeating the same pattern over and over again if you want a fair map.
That is how you do the item placement.
the map will start to look like this...
Key: T= Trees l& - _ = x and y axis.
TLLLTLLLT
LLTLlLLT
----T----- It will have a symmetrical pattern that is presentable.

There really isn't an easier way. Just play with the X, Y, and Z axis.
