Ok, well as a first test to an AMRTS 2 tryout, we should mod AMRTS to allow 10 or 12 players for now. That would be a good test to our modding skills. That includes adding new colors, modding the GUI in the launch screen, and at least 2 maps. What do ya think?

i highly agree, but i think the max players should be 12 players, it'll get to way outta hand with more, just think of all the lagg and bad connections ppl have. it might crash the mutliplayer game. and yes more colors need to be added. like the colors from the cheat "color me stupid" i think there's a black army. that'd be cool. oh and are u the administrator for the private site? i registerd for that but i think it has to be activated by administrator.

Skills: map design...and later i will know how to do 3d animation.

We moved the forums to here since we have all the users here already, I just made them private. I agree with the max player being 12 not only because of lag issues but its hard enough getting a 4vs4 game going, imagine 8vs8, it is guaranteed to have many noobs in there. I sure don't want to be stuck with 7 noobs on my team. Anywho, the color black doesn't look good, it basically looks like a depleted unit. Maybe a dark gray or something.

ok im taking this as a challenge from sniper to see if he thinks we can actually do this
im going to start working on getting 12 players to work with colors
and ill get Pi to make 2 maps cause hes coming over to my house today

hmm 12 players? but we must write new program similar with GR or GS! they support only 8 players (oh i can write it xD)

Methuselah, I do think we can do it. Only it will take time. It's not going to be done in a week. Remember, when they created this game, it took a bunch of people and many many months. Giving Pi an assignment to make 2 12player maps seems like too much for 1 person. Focusing on 1 map right now would be better so that we don't have sloppy maps. If it took me 1 week to make 8 Farms which is a pretty good map, theoretically, a 12 player map should take longer because it should be bigger (unless the map sucks).

[ABFM]x0m9k, No, I don't know winsock, but for now, you can mod GS easily (1file) to make a room bigger than 8 players. That is not a problem.

Use the colors given when u put "color me stupid" ....there's plenty of colors that are not used in multiplayer.
