Hello fellow soldiers, rookie MartiusR reporting!
Quick introduction - long time ago one of the GOG users have posted extremely useful hint for unlocking the "hidden" multiplayer option in GOG version of Amy Men II:
https://www.gog.com/forum/army_men_seri ... tch/post29
(quick recap - finding offset 4D8FE and changing value EB 55 -> 74 55
I tested it and works perfectly fine!
I really wish to make similar thing for Army Men: Toys in Space (and maybe World War, since both those games in GOG version have also hidden multiplayer).
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to contact mentioned user (maybe not visiting the forum anymore/too often), hence I would like to ask for help - if anyone knows how can I edit in similar manner Army Men: toys in space, I would be extremely grateful for help!
(plus, if I can see your wishlist on GOG or Steam and can afford it, I will try to throw a little gift from my side)
P.S. Out of curiosity I've tried to compare in hex editor original exe (which I have from retail version) and the GOG exe, but there are plenty of differences and I don't know how to make something out of it.

This forum is for Army Men RTS specifically, so you aren't going to find much help around here from people, let alone knowledgeable about that kind of game poking.
The best I can offer is I think how the original Army Men II patch works is they ""disabled"" the multiplayer by simply changing the button's offset way off screen? Maybe you could investigate the case in Toys in Space as well. If you can get it, the original binary for Toys in Space could prove helpful, since it works perfectly with GoG's directx.dll.
I also moved this topic to the most appropriate forum for non-Army Men RTS related talk.

I may not make the best maps, or be the best player, but I put a lot of time, effort, and care into my stuff. That counts for something, right? No.

Hello Tommy,
Thank you very much for moving the thread to correct section and apologies for my mistake.
Eh, sadly I'm aware that this kind of change require some good skill/know-how, and I totally understand what you're saying.
I admit that I personally have extremely small knowledge in this regards - so small that I'm not certain how to find out the mentioned offset - I used the example of AM II (for which I found the ready solution) - but the section "decoded text" doesn't tell me anything, I don't know how to figure out something out of it.
Still, I can totally understand that no one on the forum would have this kind of knowledge/know how (I mean, I would also appreciate the method how can I find it and what new value should be added), it's just my attempt to search for it.
But thank you for understanding and trying to help, appreciate it.
